Vision - Mission - Vision Components - Values

  • To be an influential hub of tangible Gospel hope that reaches into our church, community, state, country, and world.

  • We exist to be passionate and procreative believers in Jesus Christ and ambassadors of His hope to one another, our surrounding community and the world.

  • Theologically Sound – Our congregation will deeply know and live the Word of God. We will be careful to handle the Word of God with reverence and precision in our pulpit. We will boldly venture into deep Biblical and theological waters and be shaped by the Truth discovered there.

Socially Conscious – We will intentionally engage our surrounding communities and world with Gospel-motivated mercy & justice ministries. We will advocate and fight for the rights of the last, least, and lost in obedience to Micah 6:8.

Cultural Audacity – We will embrace our unique cultural expressions, defining traditions, and liturgical particularities and see them as beautifully God-given. We will recognize and appreciate the legacy and witness of the Black Church and lean into this legacy.

  • Biblical precision (2 Tim. 2:15) – We value the careful handling of the Word of God in preaching and personal study.

Engaging expository preaching (2 Tim. 4:2) – We value passionate preaching in which the main point of the biblical text being considered becomes the main point of the sermon being preached.

Prayer (Matt. 21:13) – We value individual and corporate prayer as a practice.

Biblical integration (James 1:22) – We value incorporating the truth we learn in the Scriptures into our lived experience. We strive to be hearers and doers of the Word.

Community engagement (Heb. 13:16) – We value being a source of spiritual and practical enrichment to our surrounding neighborhood and city.

Seeking justice & Correcting oppression (Isaiah 1:17) – We value taking decisive action to rectify individual, communal, and societal injustices.

Authenticity (Gal. 1:10) – We value our God-given uniqueness and seek to glorify Him in congruence with who He designed us to be.

Ministry excellence (Col. 3:23) – We value glorifying God by putting our best effort forward in all we do.

Intergenerational relevance (1 Cor. 9:19) – We value being intentional in including all generations in the worship, ministry, and life of our church.
